The A series machines are designed to keep the price as low as possible without sacrificing the function of the machine. They share the same refrigeration systems and controls as the D series machines but are built on an open frame.

The A6/13 as shown has 3 square metres of removable trays in a process chamber that can be frozen down to -40°C or heated up to +50°C. The -55°C condenser chamber can collect up to 15 kilos of ice. An isolation valve between the chambers means the machine can be defrosted during the cycle if necessary without risk to the material being freeze-dried. Clear acrylic doors allow observation of the process.
The A series machines have stainless steel chambers and shelves.
Machines can be built in this format up to 20 cubic metres of chamber capacity.
